Of course, Sora could not resist free cookies just laying out in the hotel lobby. And being trusting enough of free food, he had no qualms about taking just one...he failed to notice that there was something different about the people hanging out in the lobby until he'd already grabbed one and taken a few bites.

However, he did notice someone in particular: the one Nobody that didn't have the good sense to leave him and his friends alone! He scowled, and marched over to Marluxia with every intent of chasing him out, and maybe leaving him a few bruises for his trouble.

"HEY! Just what're you..."

...And then stopped once he was a few steps away. Woah. He didn't remember Marluxia being shorter than him. In fact, he remembered the Nobody being significantly taller than him, and...older, most importantly. Why did he look like he was Riku's age now?

Then Sora became aware of something else...his voice was quite a bit deeper, and his clothes felt a whole lot similar to they had when he'd first woken up in Twilight Town. Exactly what was this?!

Marluxia turned around when he heard the voice--and did a doubletake.

"Sora?" He asked, incredulous...then his expression went sour when he realized what has happened to him. "This is most unfair.

Yeah there was definitely something wrong here. Glancing down, he fast realized that his normal teenage body had been replaced with an older one, almost 24. And Marluxia...Marluxia was almost Riku's age.

Next time he'd have to think twice about picking up free cookies. But for now...

He crossed his arms over his chest, glaring down at the pink-haired (now teenaged) Nobody. There was something a little nice about being the taller one in a confrontation. "Maybe you shouldn't have done the stupid thing and come around here at all!"

"I was just looking for Axel," Marluxia said nonchalantly, wracking his brain to try and remember when his voice stopped cracking. Hopefully it was before this. "Have you seen him?" Of course, now that he was like this, there'd be no point in going to see Axel...or maybe there would be. Hmm. He'd have to think it over.

"Oh, riiiight," Sora scoffed back. Like Marluxia would just happen to go looking for Axel in the same place that Namine lived, when Axel wasn't even as much of a regular resident as the rest of Sora's friends.

He stepped a little closer...he wasn't much taller than Marluxia like this, but tall enough that he hoped to be more than a little imposing. "No, I haven't seen him. And you're not gonna be seeing him, either."

"Oh, it's very true. We have a...delicate arrangement, he and I," Marluxia said, but his attention was only half on Sora--the other half was on the novelty of being so slender again. "I think he'd be pleased to see me, frankly."

"An arrangement?" Sora repeated, his eyes widening. Normally Sora would've just dismissed this as Marluxia pulling his chain yet again, but...this was Axel. For how much Sora trusted Axel, it was impossible to tell just what the red-haired Nobody was always up to.

This was definitely not good news. Sora would have to ask Axel (or Roxas) just what was going on here, but later. After he found a way to somehow reverse this spell (although he wouldn't be adverse to keeping Marluxia like this).

Too bad for you, you're still not seeing him. Besides," Sora managed something like a smirk. "He'd just make fun of you right now."

"You know, I don't lie nearly as often as you seem to think I do," Marluxia said, vaguely irritated, before smirking. "And he may mock me at first, true...but this is presenting me with interesting, ah, possibilities."

Definitely not good. Sora didn't know what to think right now. As if the situation wasn't weird enough that he was suddenly an adult after eating some mysterious free cookies, and Marluxia was suddenly a teenager.

"Exactly what possibilities?" he demanded, narrowing his gaze in suspicion.

"Idle recreation, nothing more," Marluxia said, taking a perverse pleasure from misdirecting an obvious adult's questioning that was part hormones and part personality. "Nothing that would interest you."

Of course, Sora didn't really catch exactly what Marluxia was referring to. As far as he was concerned, the Nobody was being just as purposefully dense as ever. And in all honesty, Sora wasn't that concerned with finding out what Marluxia was talking about.

"Well, you're just gonna have to have your 'recreation' some other time," Sora said with resolution. Hopefully AFTER I find out from Axel just what he's up to. And if Marluxia still didn't get the message, well...he'd just have to kick him out the hard way.

"Oh, but that wouldn't be as fun," Marluxia said in something that was almost a whine, pouting just a little--sweet darkness, he hadn't done it in so long and it felt so horribly good. "You don't know Axel and his proclivities like I do."

Ewwww, Marluxia just sounded weird with his voice all different and pouty like that. It never quite occurred to Sora that perhaps he sounded similar all the time. As if that wasn't bad enough, the way Marluxia said the word 'proclivities' made Sora feel kind of ill in the pit of his stomach.

"Yeah, and I don't think you're as much of an expert on Axel as you think. You want fun? Go somewhere else."

He began to put energy into summoning the Keyblade, even if he wasn't certain yet if having this spell cast on him would have on effect on the Keyblade or not.

"I just want Axel, at the moment," Marluxia said, thrilled at the effect he was having on Sora--momentarily, he considered going for a different one, but that was only for a moment. "Why don't you tell me where I can find him, pleeeeeease?"

Ugh, he had to be doing this on purpose. "I told you, I don't know where he is! And even if I did, I wouldn't say so!"

The Keyblade materialized in his hand, and he slung it over his shoulder. As it turns out, this weird spell did have an effect on it...as the Keyblade usually changed size in order to best accommodate its wielder. And now, as if sensing that its master was quite a bit older and taller, it was now a foot longer and significantly heavier.

All he needed now was a reason to use the weapon. "So get lost!"

"Why not?" Marluxia asked, his voice suddenly measured and reasonable, like normal. "If I'm with Axel, then I'm not with Namine." ...as well, unfortunately, he added mentally, but didn't dare say it out loud.
