THUD.
Pain. Extreme pain. It hurt, it hurt so bad. She hadn't felt pain like this for... it had been a long time since she'd felt any pain at all, really. This filled her quota, probably. But even in the midst of the mind-numbing, searing, screaming pain, she was aware that it didn't hurt enough. Or maybe it hurt too much; after that sort of thing, you really weren't supposed to feel much at all. Well, either way, it wasn't the right amount.
She lay there for some time, her mind blurring in and out of consciousness and cohesion. She was waiting for something to happen. For the pain to stop, mostly. For it to be over. That was the point, after all. But it kept on going, and going, and hurting. It wasn't right, it wasn't right at all. And eventually, during one of her moments of stronger mental awareness, she got sick of it. She was going to figure out what was wrong.
With a great amount of effort, the girl managed to crack an eye open. The light was dim, but bright, and her vision blurred. There was a lot of red, under her, around her. Wet and sticky. She could feel it, if she paid attention. Oh god it was everywhere.
...oh god. Oh GOD. She was in the street. She was in the. No. That didn't-- she couldn't be... she had to...
She needed to get out of here. That was clear enough in her head, but--through the fuzziness of lost blood and the wandering consciousness, she just hurt too much to move. Her right leg, and her arm, Jesus her arm...
Shit. shitshitshit.
