With the lab locked securely behind her, Medusa had plenty of time to spend gathering canned food from abandoned buildings. By now, she'd gathered about half a garbage bag's worth. Not all of it was meant for her, of course. Instead, she thought she'd pay her old residence a visit.
She'd take it to the supply centers, but it was clear they couldn't be trusted with food. Besides, it was likely this wouldn't be enough to last the remainder of the week being divided among the Bryant Park group alone. Still, it was the least someone as kind as she would have others believe her to be would do. She certainly couldn't ingratiate herself to the locals from Bellevue, after all.
Carrying the bag through the front door, she called out to see if anyone was present.
