There he was, looking blank and boring as usual. She gave a little wave, a tiny bit of a smirk, and took a sip of her tea. "Zexion~."

The young man was definitely not pleased to see her, she could tell, but silly little things like that had never hindered her before. It would do him some good to get out of whatever basement he'd been living in until now. Not that it really mattered.

Her eyes moved to the coffee shop's worker, and she tilted her head toward the counter. "Not going to buy anything, or am I not worth your while to sit through one little cup of tea?"

He was even as charming as he normally was. How absolutely beautifully boring.

Larxene's smile faded into a tiny bit of a pout, and she let out a slightly insulted sigh. "I'm here to have tea, dear, and to catch up on what you've been doing with yourself hidden away in some closet. Besides," she added, "I'm in no hurry at all to get back."

To exaggerate her point just enough, she took a small, slow sip of her tea. If he wanted to start the conversation so badly, he could do so. It was good tea. She planned to finish it as slowly as possible without it turning into a popsicle.

He always had been the serious one, right there with the others in plotting out whatever bullshit Xemnas had planned for them. A master of illusion, playing puppet to such an egotistical pompous asshole of a leader. It was almost laughable.

No, correction. It was laughable.

"I simply wanted to catch up with old comrades," she replied matter-of-factly. "If you're that uninterested, by all means, walk out now. It will have just been a waste of your time, coming down here for absolutely nothing. But just being here gives you something, now, doesn't it. A chance to see what others are up to, a chance to gain more knowledge."

She smiled, placed her cup of tea on the table, and leaned forward with her chin in her hands. "By all means, though, if you'd rather just move on, it's perfectly alright."

No, she hadn't thought he would leave. She knew him far too well for that. And it seemed as though he didn't expect anything less from her.

Old times were not hard forgotten.

So she smiled, reached back for her cup and drew it to her lips, taking a slow sip before continuing. It would irritate him, perhaps, but wasn't he always annoyed anyways? It felt nice to have a little bit of teasing fun after so long without it.

"So, my dear, how long have you been trapped in this terrible place?"

"Since the end of October," she replied. She'd arrived just before that costume party that had been held. Hadn't gone to that, had been left behind in Marluxia's plans, and had since moved away from her old comrade to a new apartment. Funny, how fickle they could be.

Oddly enough, she'd already come to a wall on the conversation. She'd spent so long focusing on just teasing the man that she really hadn't thought to plan ahead to what would actually be discussed. Not that it mattered. She could make it up as they went.

"You've been keeping yourself well-hidden, for having been here so long. I'm surprised that none of the others have even mentioned you."

Forgot? She scoffed, brought her tea back up to her lips as she laughed. She hadn't spoken to most of the others since her arrival, but they all knew very well who and who wasn't here. They couldn't possibly have forgotten him.

What a testy little thing he was being.

"No, I suppose someone hiding wouldn't have bothered to reply to even the simplest posts." He was the one who had contacted her in the first place, so far as she was concerned. Ah, well...

Her tea was dwindling, down to the last few sips, and she drank them before they could cool. "Have you done anything useful while hiding? Research, reading? Or has it all been mere avoidance."

With a shrug, Larxene pushed herself out of her chair. The tea was finished, so there was really no use in sitting here any longer. Not with Drusilla home alone with the fucking crocodile. "I've done some research. Not a whole lot, compared to yours, I'm sure, but I also seem to have been picking up a few roommates here and there and they make for wonderful distractions from any work one wants to get done."

Wrapping her scarf back around her and pulling her gloves back on, Larxene left the shop, even going so far as to hold the door open for Zexion as well. Bitch she may be, but it wouldn't do any good to slam the door in his face. He didn't deserve it. At least, not yet.

It really didn't matter if he followed at this point, either. She had to walk one way, and had no idea as to which way he needed to go. "Thanks for at least humoring me," she said. It was impossible even for her to tell whether it was sarcasm or some form of actual truth. He had, after all, gotten her away from the crocodile for a little while, even if ( ... )

It wasn't snowing, for once, so Larxene didn't bother pulling her hood up as they walked. Cold air or not, she was getting tired of being stuffed up into buildings or clothes. She needed to do something, not be stuck lazing around with books she'd already read thirteen and a half times.

Maybe they could make a short stop at the library.

She didn't bother asking Zexion's opinion of that. He'd like it, she'd like it, and who the hell cared about anything else. "I need to make a quick side stop, if you're going to be following me."
