Maka walked slowly down the street, makeshift scythe in hand. Her sense of souls had dwindled somewhat since she'd arrived here, but Crona's was familiar and had been easy to pick up. It troubled her a little that Ragnarok's soul was just a faint pulse--normally it was stronger than most--and Maka couldn't help but wonder if he'd been left behind like Soul had...
She followed her senses carefuly, finally arriving in front of a smashed-in store. It was evident crabs had crawled over it many a time, though there didn't appear to be any now. There wasn't much inside that would have satiated them anyways. Except Crona.
Carefully, Maka stepped around broken glass and followed Crona's soul up the stairs.
"Crona?" She carefully walked down the small hallway. This door. "Crona, it's Maka," she said as she pushed the door open slowly.
