Characters: Maka Albarn, whoever finds her... Content: New arrival. Happy days... Location: An alley near the Empire State Building Time of day: Evening. Warnings: There are crabs D:
A young woman clad in red and white with a cowboy hat on her head was also running through the city, frantically trying to outrun some of the creepy critters. Ugh, what were they? They were ugly, that was for sure. And they didn't look friendly. Where was she? Where were the others?
"Help!" She called out, trying to dodge debris. "I need somebody!" God, so useless. What could she do? She had no idea where she was even supposed to run to! She felt extremely disoriented.
One of the things had come out of the shadows. It didn't seem big enough to be a kishin, but Maka knew better than to think it wasn't. Leave it to a lousy man to run off while she was being stalked by some creepy crab kishin. Wonderful.
The moment she heard the cry of help, Maka's head snapped toward the sound, then back at the crab just in time to dodge under it as it leaped toward her. There was a pipe against the dumpster nearby. It was heavy, but she swung it at the crab and knocked the creature aside with very little effort.
"Over here!" she shouted toward the girl. There was a building nearby. If they could just get inside it, they'd be able to hold the creatures back a bit easier...
Missy wasn't in the position to argue. Running as fast as she could toward the voice, she couldn't even focus her mind enough to think. At least they weren't a crab like creature, which was a start, right?
The clang of metal against exoskeleton made her flinch a bit, but it was better than a pained scream. The girl was kept in her sight as she ran, but dammit the uniform she was wearing wasn't designed for running!
Maka slowed, doubled back, and all but through Missy foreward, shoving her through the doors of the building as she rounded to give the nearest crab a kick to the head. The next two got the pipe, and she had to punch at the fourth before she could get through the doors and close them behind her.
The crabs stayed for a few moments, scrambling and scraping at the door. Maka turned back to the other girl and nodded.
