As soon as he had heard the monster's death throes begin, Seymour had dropped everything and rushed out to see his creature's last moments. He had hoped, prayed to the non-existent deity of Yevon that the beast would live, but his wishes had gone unanswered. For the first time, he had been forsaken.

Cloverfield was dead.

His chance at Sin, at saving the people, was gone.

All of the work, all of the effort he had put into this already, had all gone to waste.

As he approached the body, he could feel his heart cringing, sorrowed for the beautiful creature Cloverfield had once been. How he ached to see her like this.

All of them... no one would ever be saved. He could not help them now. Sinking to his knees close by the carcass, the former maester bent over and let his tears fall for the first time since he was a boy.

Using the sleeve of her shirt to wipe her eyes, and the tears that were forming there, Sara attempted to get control of her crazy emotions at this point. She couldn't tell if she was happy the monster was gone, or sad that a living creature had been killed.

Looking over one of the creatures legs, she saw a blue haired man kneeling down, looking like he was crying also. She walked over and stood a few steps away.

"I'd ask if you were alright, but I think I know the answer." She said quietly. "Now, is there anything I can do to help?"

Seymour had definitely not expected anything of the comfort variety after his recent activity on the network, so the voice over his shoulder startled him. It took a moment for him to gather himself back up before he stood and offered her the Yevon prayer bow.

"I am afraid there is nothing anyone may do. We are alive, though we have lost something."

This woman looked to be in no better shape than he was and he wondered why, but did not ask just yet.

Sara blinked a couple of times at the bow, before proceeding to do a general one in return. She had no clue what the hand gestures meant, but she figured that if bowing was his custom, she could return it.

"Lost something how?" She asked, intrigued by his answer, as always, her curiosity getting the better of her.

Seymour's lips tilted upwards in something that could be considered a cross between a smirk and a true smile. At the woman's words, however, he had to assume that she hadn't seen the network recently. In that case, he wasn't going to enlighten her and merely turned to make the Yevon prayer at the monster's fallen form.

"It is hard to explain," he answered, for the first time not really caring to explain anything.

"I'd understand that." Sara said, placing her good hand into her pocket. "I was just wondering, because I see few people feeling sadness over the death of Mama Grande." She took a look around at the group of people who were now gathering, some looked shocked, others looked happy, few looked sad.

She wondered what emotions she showed at this point.

"Some of us were in awe of the power she possessed, frightening as it may have been for the rest of the population," came the maester's answer as he turned to the large body and performed the Yevon prayer bow to it. "She was a magnificent creature and a being of life and blood no matter which was you look at it. Life was lost today. That is what is being mourned."

Of course, he had his own reasons for mourning the loss of this particular life, but there was no need to draw attention to himself if this woman hadn't seen the network recently.
