A bright patch of red caught Haruhi's eye as she surveyed the city. She was standing on a piece of rubble that protruded out above the rest, giving her a great view of the city, or what was left of it. She squinted and put a hand over her eyes to try to see what the red thing was

How long had it been since she'd gone out on patrol, it seemed like ages and Riza had to admit she had kind of missed going through the city in search of anything: food, people, crabs. She grew antsy just sitting around and unlike Harry didn't really have the training to help in any detective work. Still, she could do her part in this way, protecting civilians

One moment he was minding his own business and the next he had a girl attached to his arm. He spluttered a little at first as he was bombarded with questions, then, even if he HAD been able to get a word in edgewise, he didn't know what to say. Planet? Time period?

Luke's head was spinning. What kind of questions were those? It didn't help this girl seemed to be running at a mile a minute. Finally, he managed to choke out some words when he realized he was on the verge of being dragged off, "H-hey, hold on a minute!"

He turned his head when another voice pipped up. Yeah, okay, that was true, but he hadn't even agreed to this! "I didn't even agree to go anywhere yet," Luke explained.

Haruhi glared daggers at the other woman and pulled the boy closer to her. Her strength was surprising considering her size. "He's my alien, I found him first! Go get your own!" This woman was clearly part of some sort of organization, Haruhi could tell by her uniform, she was probably out to capture this alien boy!

She turned to the boy, "You better come with me, I know how to make sure the government doesn't find you and experiment on you!"

Whatever outburst Riza had been expecting it certainly hadn't been the one the girl gave her. The boy seemed just as confused but more so by the young lady than herself, "My apologizes, I assumed you were traveling together." The girl did seem rather attached to the boy though Riza didn't really understand why she was ranting about Riza finding her own 'alien.'

Riza was beginning to suspect the girl mistrusted her, it was strange but not uncommon back in Amestris. "I think there's been some misunderstanding...I'm not with the government here," Riza said, giving the girl a weary look. She wasn't sure what to make of her or the boy.

If Luke looked confused before, he was even more so now. "Alien? I don't know what you're talking about but I'm not--" he tried to say, but found his words dying on his lips again. Was she even listening to him? He really had no idea what she was going on about now. Did all new people here get treated like this? Or was this girl just crazy? Maybe, considering the other seemed sane enough.

Whoa, what? Experiment? On him? He didn't like the sound of that, he had to admit, but that was really the last of his worries right now. Luke was just growing frustrated. "Look, could someone just tell me where I am, please?"

Haruhi frowned at the boy. For an alien he was getting to be an awful disappointment. Still, if she told him where he was, she would be the first person to welcome him to Earth and be able to show him her Ultra Detective skills.

"You're on the planet Earth! Home to the human race," Haruhi circled around poor Luke as she explained, very into giving a dramatic performance. "And being an Ultra Detective, as soon as I heard there was a monster here I had to go look around. From my deductions, it appears that we are in the country of the United States in the city of New York."

Riza could tell the boy was growing frustrated and the girl didn't seem to be helping matters by ignoring the both of them. She sighed, she supposed it couldn't be help and turned to the boy as the girl circled him like a vulture, "She's right...more specifically we're on the island of Manhattan with no way off."

This was a lot to process. None of the names were familiar at all. This was really a different planet? Luke wasn't sure what to think. It was hurting his head, if anything. "H-how could I end up on this... earth place? I was on Auldrant..."

He really hadn't known what to expect when he'd freed Lorelei, except that he was likely about to disapear, but ending up on another planet? That definitely hadn't crossed his mind. It was impossible, by all accounts. But... here he was. With no way off apparently.

And things weren't being helped by this brown haired girl. What was she? A vulture? He didn't like how she was circling him, but it wasn't exactly the top of his worries.

Luke sighed deeply, glancing past Haruhi to Riza, "I don't like the sound of any of this. There's no way out of here? Really?"

"Auldrant?! I knew you were an alien!" Haruhi pounced on Luke, managing to hug him and squeeze him at the same time. She had totally hit the jackpot here! First the Doctor and now this kid, this place kept getting better and better. "I'm Haruhi, by the way! And nope! No way out!"

Riza hated to admit it but it was the truth, "As far as anyone can tell there isn't...most if not all of the bridges have been destroyed and the tunnels and subways are far too dangerous to even attempt to get out that way." She was rather calm, perhaps because she had told this to so many others before the boy.

"I'm Riza Hawkeye, by the way," Riza said, after hearing the other girl give her name.

Luke let out a startled cry as he found himself being pretty well glomped. What was with this girl? She had one hell of a grip. Still trying to be somewhat polite, he began to attempt to pry her off. "H-hey, come on... Get off me!" This was worse than dealing with Anise. She sounded almost happy with the fact they were trapped. What the hell?

Glancing past Haruhi as he continued to try to release himself from her grasp he managed to reply Riza, "Luke fon Fabre... P-pleased to meet you, uh, I guess." As much as meeting anyone in such a situation could be anyways.
