Ohana never gets left behind! [Active/Open]

Characters: Stitch, Demyx, Open to anyone else who wants to help.
Content: Stitch gathers a search crew to find Demyx, who's holed up in a clothing store on Broadway.
Location: Mainly the streets on the way to the store, plus the store.
Time of day: Late afternoon.
Warnings: None yet.

Sonic ran along the streets of Manhattan with a sigh. "Feel. So freakin slow..." The hyperactive hedgehog had been pushing himself as of late and was starting to feel the overload on his body. (He still had not eaten...) Sonic rounded corner after corner looking at signs and trying to find out where Broadway was again...He knew thats where he'd found his little pal, Tails, but finding it again was another story. He hadn't exactly made note of it...

Sighing with frustration he finally spotted the one who had asked for help, along with another little girl. He raced forward and skidded to a halt next to the two. "Yo!" He said raising a hand. "Heard you needed some help, pal." He said turning to the blue...thing. (But who was he to judge?)

Stitch sat on the corner where he had promised to meet Yachiru and waited. She said she would help, and he was going to wait for a bit until she showed up. She would, she promised. After a while, he heard a "There you are Fuzzy Awesome!"

Jumping up from where he was sitting, he waved at her as she came over. Right after he had greeted her, someone skidded to a stop right next to them. A blue...hedgehog? Well, not that he was going to assume anything, he was here to help, right?

"Hi!" He said to the newcomer. "I'm Stitch, this is Yachiru. You came to help?"

Yachiru stared at Sonic contemplatively for a second before smiling at him and asking, "Oh, are you gonna help to Speedy? That's good. Okay, let's go save Fuzzy Awesome's Ohana, and smash anyone who gets in our way!" Her challenge issued, Yachiru struck a dramatic pose and pointed off in a random direction.

She paused for a second before leaning over to Stitch and asking, "Uh, can you tell Speedy where your Ohana is? I know already of course, but since this is your rescue mission its probably best if you tell him."

"You bet I'm here to help! And that sounds good to me!" Sonic of course had no idea what an Ohana was, but he'd leave that information to himself. "So where to gang?" He asked, shifting weight from one foot to the other restlessly.

Stitch pointed down Broadway, which luckily was part of the intersection that the three of them were standing in. He was really glad to have Yachiru and Sonic there to help him. He didn't want to think about what kind of shape Demyx might be in at that point, but having more than one person there to help would be best.

"All Demyx said was he was in a clothing store on Broadway." he scratched at an ear. "Not hard with three?"

Yachiru nodded, and hopping down the pile. "Naw, it won't be hard at all. We'll have him back before you know it!"

Without a hint of hesitation she set off down the street in the direction Stitch had pointed at, head darting from side to side in search of any clothing stores.

"Shes right! We'll find yer pal in no time little buddie!" Sonic smiled. He was so optimistic, even when he was hungry he put on a smile.

"Alrighty gang! Lets set out then! I could speed ahead and try and see if I can find some then!" Sonic did as he said and darted ahead of the group looking for a clothing store. When he came across one, he skidded to a halt making a 'screeech' sound on the pavement, then sped back around to the two and grinned triumphantly. "I found a clothing store a little ways up ahead!"

Stitch followed Yachiru, running along the other side of the street, hoping to find a store similar to what Demyx had described. He watched as Sonic took off down the street, for a second wishing that he could run as fast at the hedgehog could.

As he was inspecting one of the store windows, he saw Sonic come back and screech to a stop. Hearing the news about finding a store, he ran over.

"How far?"

In the darkened storem Demyx groaned a bit as he heard something out in the street... it had better not be crabs. Wait. Couldn't be crabs... this sounded... way too fast.

The Nobody considered sitting up to look... but... everything hurt so badly. It wouldn't be worth the effort of looking past the fixtures of extravagant outfits and...

Wow. Whatever it was, it WAS fast. It was gone already. The Nobody coughed, and closed his eyes again. What he'd give for a potion. Or a radio.

Yachiru watched with wide eyes as Sonic took off racing down the street. He was so fast, not as fast as Ken-chan, but faster than anyone she'd met here. She missed that feeling of speed, and wondered if he'd let her ride on his back later.

When he returned she smiled at Stitch and said, "See, I bet we're almost there! Let's just follow Speedy to where he is. Come on!" With that she took his paw and began skipping down the street, humming an jaunty tune.

"Its not too far at all. Just up the street a ways! We'll get there no problemo!" He smiled, gald he had something to take his mind off of his stomach. Which was growling lately. A lot. Usually that put the hedgehog in a sour mood but he took it in stride at this moment. Someone needed help.

Sonic led the group at the other two's pace up the street to the clothing store. He was irritated that he couldn't just run there, but he knew he had to be patient today. He reminded himself that a lot recently. As the store came into view a ways ahead, Sonic pointed out "There ya be!" He smiled at Stitch. "Now lets find that friend of yours!"

Stitch was pulled along by Yachiru until they came to the front of the store that Sonic had found. When Sonic pointed it out, Stitch let go of Yachiru's hand and rushed over to the store front, noticing that some of the rubble had fallen in front of the store.

"Demyx!" He shouted, starting to pull at some of the chunks of concrete and rebar. "Are you in there?"

"Wait a sec... Little Blue?" He coughed, his usually somewhat annoying, yet almost singsong voice sounding ragged. With a groan, he got up from the chair he was in, one leg almost giving out beneath him, but he managed to stumble over to the store front. "Stitch?

Arriving at the storefront, Yachiru began to help Stitch clear the building's doorway of rubble. Of course, after a few moments she got frustrated with the more limited strength of her Gigai, and decided to bail out of the artificial body. Looking over at Sonic she said, "Watch my gigai for me, okay Speedy?" With that she concentrated for a moment before stepping out of her body, which promptly collapsed, and set about picking up a collapsed section of the wall and hurling it to the side

Sonic was about to help move some of the rocks and rubble in front of the store when Yachiru requested he watch her...What? As the little girl collapsed, Sonic wasted no time running forward and catching her before she fell. "Yachiru!!" He shouted out as he tried to shake her awake. "Are you okay? Hey!" He put the little girl on his back and looked up at Stitch. "What happened?!" He asked, having no idea why the little girl had just collapsed on him and he was quite worried truth be told.

Stitch watched as Yachiru collapsed and almost flipped out. But, she had said something about 'watching her gigai,' so maybe this was something planned?

"I don't know..." He said, stopping moving some things in order to wander over and take a look. Then, all of a sudden, a wall moved without anyone there.

Now that, was freaky.
