Location: A mostly-intact internet café near Broadway

Time of Day: Afternoon

If there was a good reason to run instead of walking, then Fugaku usually did so. He was strong enough that it didn’t bother him, and had enough stamina to get him to Broadway quickly. Whether it was fast enough or not, well, he’d figure that out soon enough, wouldn’t he? Medics had to be fast, otherwise people died while they waited. Fugaku assumed it was a bad way to go. There were easy and hard ways of coming about endings. He knew that very well. It was his profession.

Not now, though. The idea was to save, not kill. A big, important difference.

Healing wasn’t really a strength of Fugaku’s. He was just a combat-medic, he couldn’t chakra-heal well enough to be a true healer.

He scowled, and did a front-flip over some debris, hitting the ground in a roll and then running. It was enough. It had to be.

On Broadway, most of the buildings were, if not demolished, heavily damaged. Fugaku saw two cafes. One was mostly crushed, and jam-packed with fallen rubble. No good. The other was….mostly intact. Probably that one.

He walked over, activating Sharingan. There was blood in the air, so heavy he could smell it.

“Hey, you here?”
