It was certainly hard to sit in the park, alone, while she waited for Mr. Wright to come find her. The park itself was nice enough, she supposed, but even the sunlight trickling through the leaves of the tree she was sitting under couldn't make her feel any less worried; after all, there was a giant monster lurking around somewhere, or so people had told her, and this giant monster apparently had little crab-like minions who were supposedly very, very dangerous.

She clutched the stick in her hand even tighter. He had said to keep it close by, and so she was; in fact, she was clutching it so hard that her knuckles were starting to turn white. It was ridiculous, she knew, but Mr. Wright had warned her to be careful of the monsters... and Mr. Wright had never lied to her before.

However, her train of thought flew directly out of the window when she heard a slight rustling behind her. It sounded like someone walking towards her and her tree... but for all she knew, it could just be one of those crab creatures, trying to sneak up on her. Slowly, carefully, she twisted about, peering around the side of the tree, tensing ever so slightly as she waited....
