And you're singing the songs, thinking this is the life...

This week I keep being reminded of how awsome Scottish music is.

Paolo Nutini was on the TV a couple of days ago. It was kind of bizarre watching him perform because he is so young but his singing voice sounds like an old man's, especially in his new songs. But hey, it works! So I was compelled to download 'Last Request' today (which I then realised would be a great song for a KazeKi AMV, my god, I'm obsessed).

Then I went out shopping and Amy MacDonald came on the radio. Anyone remember her? I used to love her, and now I remember why. She really is quite brilliant, her song 'Run', is nothing short of beautiful:-

-and, incedentally, has the same title as my absolute favourte song of all time.

Which brings us to Snow Patrol, who are far to awsome to put into words. They also went to Dundee University, which is where one of my best friends goes, so that's my six degrees of seperation right there.

This is the kind of stuff that makes me happy to be Scottish, but sad that I have no musical talent to speak of (not that I had planned to be a musician, but it still makes me sad).
