Oh yeah, me too. By this stage in the story I think we've already established that everyone wants Serge. Also, he was wearing very tight trousers, he should have anticipated a little bit of groping.

According to Wikipedia, in the 1880s he would have only been legal for straight sex. Way to be, France.

Well, yeah, but that was true in most countries. Until about 10 years ago the age of consent for straight sex in the UK was 16 but for gay sex it was 18 (which was completely illegal until 1967) for some bizarre reason (these are the kinds of incredibly useful things you learn in law school).

I feel I may have digressed a bit there. What were we talking about?
