I hate hate hate people who think that they know better than scientists and doctors. No, seriously, I hate them. I think they are a danger to themselves and society as a whole, and let's not even consider the damage they risk doing to their children. There is so much sensationalist crap that passes for science on television that people are ignoring the people who have actually spent years researching and testing their claims. The Scientific Method is an amazing thing. I know some of basic tenets of medicine were met with claims of quackery, but by testing the theories using the Scientific Method, they became medicine.
