Arbitrary

My cousin, Dana, just recently moved into the house next to mine. She was cleaning out some clothes last night when she held up this really bright green dress that was . . . really 90s. It nearly hurt my eyes to look at it. I told it would look good if she was making a movie that was supposed to take place in 1993or some other year that begins with "199". My mother, who was standing right next to us, said that I live in a movie; she said that my whole life is a movie. That's when Dana said that my life is more like a sitcom than anything else. She said that a lot of people live in sitcoms.

If I had my own sitcom I would call it Arbitrary and it would have awesome music. A lot of classic stuff. It would have no real plot. Just me, doing whatever I want. Of course, there'd be a love interest. A guy with long hair and sideburns; someone who could appreciate literature and classic rock. It would chronicle my life as an artist: painter, novelist, poet. The dialog would be quick and witty--lots of personal jokes that only real hardcore fans would understand and allusions to cult movies and books that no one has ever really read but everyone has at least heard of.

There'd be no long cheesy opening credits; there'd be no credits at all. The show would just start, last for an hour with a few commercial breaks, and then end.
