One of these days . . . they have banned smoking on airplanes

One of these days, I plan to write a book and a play.

The book will be about the life of a pet, a dog or a cat or a goldfish or a hamster (which aren't really made out of ham). How do they think? We must seem pretty silly to them. The book will be exactly nine and a half chapters long, because ten chapters is so boring. I haven't come up with a title yet, but I'll let you know when I do.

The play will be about some mundane, every-day activity such as doing the laundry or taking a nap or taking a trip somewhere. If I decide to focus on doing the laundry, it will take place in a laundromat. If I decide to go the nap route, it will have to take place on a very comfortable couch and include many interludes from slamming doors, ringing phones, and obnoxious roommates who don't realize that when a person's eyes are closed, they are, in fact, sleeping, and not pretending to be invisible. And the trip will be a plane ride, with someone kicking the seat, horrible airline food, and dirty air because airlines are cheap and don't pay to have the air filtered now that they have banned smoking on airplanes.

life, thoughts
