Put your MP3 player on shuffle, and write down the first line of the first twenty songs. Post the poem that results.
I'm not sure what exactly constitutes the "first line" so I just kind of used as much as I wanted. Also, for a few songs I couldn't find lyrics so I either put down whatever it sounded like or (if it was hard to make out) skipped the song.
the grass and the daisies think a lot more of the days than you
coin-operated boy sitting on the shelf
couldn't get ahead
yesterday I saw a b-girl crying
people get through life
check me out
i don't want to wonder
if you keep on repeating, repeating a word
oh, the way you lie
wrong or right, it's not right
is it love when i see your face on the rails?
i'm gonna write a little letter
homeboy, i came to party
his tires start spinning
it was the first day of july
you are my fire
i've been thinkin' about the time before
poor boy, head against a pillow
the actress is always breaking things
do you know my name before you tear me apart?
Alex is picking me up at 3:00 to see Milk at 4:30. Yay!
