The boys returned from their holiday in Snowdonia this evening.  Crikey, am I glad they're home - I really missed them.

They did send my postcards while they were away though.  They went like this:

To my  mum
I'm happy and I have been to a castle that was made in the year 1295 thats 711 years ago.
I hope your feeling better love from James xxxxx

To mumy
I hop u have a  fantanstic tim at Catey's hous.  I am so much having a grat tim at wayalis.
love from Tristan.

*grin*

They're both pretty tired and settled easily to sleep after an evening of TV: Prehistoric Park, which is really quite bizarre - The X-Factor, unfortunately! - and The Proms!  I came in from the laundry room to find James glued to the telly watching Shostakovich's Babi Yar.  He'd been paying attention to the subtitles and so filled me in on the plot!

I really must arrange to take him to a concert soon.

Tristan, after much debate, has decided that it would be far too boring for him and has been advised by James to 'go to the ballet instead'.  They do make me smile. :)

As for all else that's going on... well we're still staying at Katie's for the time being.  Air quality test checked out fine this morning but, apparently, it may take three days for the ground floor screed - which is hopefully being laid on Monday - to dry. Oh, and it looks likely that the kitchen will be ripped out then, too.  It's all change.
