So, I had my wisdom teeth yanked out of my face this morning. Fun? Yes, it was...not. I was a bit nervous, and then the Dr. was like "okay, I'm going to put this medicine in the IV that will make you a bit groggy." I could feel it go in my vein and instantly (i lie you not) my head was SO heavy. My arms too. And it really scared me. But, then I just gave in, closed my eyes, and the next thing I really remember is putting on my seat belt in the van.
But, all in all, I feel okay. I know it could be so much worse. The worse part is when I get dizzy and lightheaded and feel sick. But other than that, I'm okay.
The phone has been ringing off the hook with people calling to check on me and see if I'm doing okay and to let me know they're praying for me. It's good to be loved. And my 3rd grade kids (from my ed. psych class)made me get well cards and Micah brought them home. That cheered me up a lot.
Mom is good - she rented me a bunch of movies and got me Gatoraid and ice cream and soup. But I can't really eat yet. I haven't eaten anything since 9:30 last night. I've watched How to Lose A Guy in 10 Days, The Wedding Planner, and Bruce Almighty. And I've slept. A Lot. Right now, I'm just killing time because I can't take another pain pill until 12:15.
Anywho. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving, everyone! Tell someone you're thankful for them, and don't forget to thank God!
