I went for my fertility follow up appointment today and the blood work that I had taken about 2 weeks ago showed that I did in fact ovulate which is awesome!!!! I haven't ovulated since before I went on my birth control pill but the down side it isn't a normal ovulation because my progesterone levels are extremely low. So what I have is called a dysfunctional ovulation-the only good thing is that I can go on the clomid along with IUI injections instead of going the IVF route at this point in time. We will eventually do IVF if the clomid/IUI combination doesn't work. So for right now I am Happy. I am content with the outcome of my appointment today. Plus it doesn't help that IVF costs around $14,000 which isn't covered by insurance, and we will have to pay that out of pocket but we can go on a payment plan of around $200-$300 per month.
No other news is happening at the moment. All we have planned so far is the twins' first birthday party next Saturday. I got them each a 4th of July outfit, a little pool, and a princess pale and shovel.
