cracks in the pavement
organized into blocks
manmade
nature's contention adding angular disarray
until you can't see how they were built
long legs stretching to avoid tiny canals
I didn't know gray cement could look so melancholy
like rocky shores that have lost their tides
(excuse all of this stuff lately. Just prefer to write poetry, rather than recall the boring details of lecture)
