Abilities before entering the city;
History; Once, there was a world that flourished due to the power of technology. Technology had finally advanced to the point where limbs could be replaced with more powerful prothestics, where nanomachines could improve the overall physical performance of humans and where humans forgot about the mysticism in life, blindly trusting science to explain all of life’s mysteries. In a world, where half the world was left unknown, an expedition was preparing to cross the eternal sea, in search for all the answers. It was into this world that Ardion Prosili was the Lord of All Theives.
Ardion Prosili was the kind of kid born with a silver spoon in hand. He was also the kind of kid to completely ignore it. Ardion was born into the weathly Prosili family and was widely admired as the new family, due to a strange tradition of allowing third sons to inherit the fortune, due to lack of interest amongst the first and second born sons. Anyways, Ardion was born into riches, but right from the off, he wasn’t interested in them. He seemed to be more interested escaping from his various cirbs, bedrooms and the house itself. Why did he do this? Because it was fun and it angered his parents. Also, playing in the mud with his fancy clothes was a big bonus. Anyways, this continued for some time until he was five. By then, he was being forced to study the various things an heir would need to know. Not that he complained much; after all, studying allowed him access to more things to use during his escape attempts. He also rather enjoyed acting in musicals, where he learned how to be…an actory. (Read: flamboyant) This made up most of his life up until the point where he pulled of the escape to watch a travelling circus.
This escape was a rather large one, as it invloved him getting out of his estate. In order to pull it off, he used several bars of soap, a rope, twelve cucumbers, a butler disguise and a wild bull. It was mostly the bull, but the rest was important as well. After all, he needed time to watch the circus and the bull would provide it. It was the single most important event in his entire life. He gawked at the contortionist, bending at impossible angles, he gazed upon the trick shooter, shooting plates out of the air without even looking, and he went to the firebreather show, where due to the fire being five inches from his face, the malleable mind of Ardion gained Pyrophobia. Of couse, such an escapade went over with his parents as well as a bomb anywhere. They blew up at him and he blew right back, yelling his distaste for this family and wishing that he wasn’t even a part of this family; words he would regret.
That night, his parents, furious at his gall, called their lawyers for a surprise. Ardion’s 15th birthday had only one ‘gift’, 30 seconds to get off the estate. His parents wrote him out of the family will, expelling from the family and making him a legal trespasser. One ‘running from the pack of guard dogs’ trip to the fence left Ardion alone in the world. Knowing only one place left to go in the world, Ardion ran away to the circus. While the owner of the circus was not permitting, the contortionist and the trick shooter, being married with no children, took him in. But, the owner allowed no more funds to be allocated to this new family, which was basically a call for Ardion to become useful. Ardion, using his cunning, wits, and sly powers, became a pickpocket to feed them all. Despite being a hard life, sometime having them all have to starve in order to go on to the next day, this was the happiest days of Ardion’s life. He learned so many things from the circus performers, like how to fight dirty, trick shoot, contort, make tasty 10-minute meals for under 50 cents, acrobatics, and how to avoid the cops. All these lessons would benefit him later in life, but he didn’t know what lay in store for him later down the road.
One day while he was pickpocketing the crowd during a performance in the capital industrial city in the world, he picked the worng pocket. The master of the Thief Guild, while annoyed by this, he was also intrugied by this kid who had the gall to pick his pockets. Faking that Ardion had stolen a large sum of money, the guildmaster had Ardion kicked out of the circus and he took Ardion under his wing, into the theiving guild. Over the years, Ardion ascended the ranks of the guild until he was the guildmaster’s right hand. In short time, Ardion even surpassed him and left the guild to strike it solo as a master theif. He became known as one of the few natural (unaltered by improvement technology) theives left in the world. Ardion had no idea what destiny had in store for him, no idea at all.
Personality; Ardion can be summarized a bit on the dramatic side, often exaggerating his emotions to fit his theatrical side. He’s a bit egotistical, from being one of the biggest things since sliced bread in the captial city of his world. Despite appearances, Ardion is actually a pretty smart guy, preferring brains and speed to brawn, and it often comes up in conversations, if only in the use of the occasional big word.
