City of Names, Kevin Brockmeier, 2002. "I have sort of a crush on Casey Robinson. I've had sort of a crush on Casey Robinson ever since I was six years old, on my very first day at Larry Boone Elementary School. Most people seem to think that boys my age don't like girls. We're supposed to pull their hair and throw dirt at them, and they're supposed to call us names and run away from us. And then there's the whole cootie thing. I don't know where people get these ideas. All I can say is that I've liked girls ever since I can remember, and so has every other boy in my class."
