Sleeping Gin

I love holding a sleeping baby. Everything about it is awesome: the softness, the limp weight, the warmth of that body, the sweet smell of that little head nestled against my shoulder. I love the slow, steady breathing, small snorts and sucking noises as she sleeps. I love how it looks, too. Sometimes I got stand in the bathroom so I can see her scrunchy face all peacefull, eyes closed, tiny rosebud mouth pursed or slack.

Babies are the sweetest things.
