Right on track

Took Geneva to the doctor's on Tuesday because of her cold. He looked her over and checked her measurements:

26 inches long
13 lbs 8 oz

Which puts her exactly where she was a month ago. 97th percentile length and 50th percentile weight. It makes me laugh because my friend from high school who is 5 feet flat had a baby three weeks after Gevena, and that baby was 15 lbs at her three month. Heh. My little girl, so sweet.

We brought out the Hop'n Pop (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/images/B0002VZ2IW/ref=dp_image_0/102-8269133-9605769?ie=UTF8&n=165793011&s=toys-and-games) because she loves to stand. I've taken a couple cute pictures of her in it that I need to upload and post. Kaden enjoys running over and smashing it down so it pops and plays music, and Ginny doesn't seem to mind. She gets really excited when she makes it do something all on her own. It's darn cute.

Doob is the world's best negotiator. Sometimes it makes me crazy, sometimes I think it's sweet. Some things are non-negotiable, of course. I personally never give in to the "just two more minutes!" request, but we do a lot of creative adjustment to make things more palatable for him. I can't seem to think of an example. The virus is eating my brain right now. Otherwise he continues to be quite the Doob. Saying the opposite of what he means and putting something in its wrong place is just SO FUNNY for this kid. He likes to put the grains on the fruit spaces on his food chart, or put the dairy on the vegetables, and then I have to look all surprised and confused and say "No, wait a minute! That's not right!" and he giggles and says "Look Mommy! Look where the vegetable is!" I am often Geneva, holding Mommy in my arms. Sometimes Geneva is Maple (Kaden's cousin) sometimes she's Baby Kaden.

I've been trying to get myself on a schedule. Up every morning by 7:15. Doob up by 7:30. Out the house at 8:25 (THAT never happens, BTW) Lunch at 12. Craft time till 1:30. House cleaning till 2:30. Special one on one romping till 3, then Doob's nap. Those two hours are freebies for me to either watch a movie from Netflix or do some computer time or a load of laundry, or work out, or nap when I really need it. 5:30 Kaden up, start dinner. 6:30 eat dinner. 9 pm yoga, 9:30 cuddle the Doob, 10 pm pray the Rosary, 10:30 sleep. It's been derailed the past few days but I hope to get back to it.

I'm going to see Pan's Labryinth this weekend. Can't wait!
