Thrush. :(
The Lactation Consultant was very nice. She showed me a few different tricks to get Ginny to take more of the bottom part of my nipple in her mouth, and told me to lie back when I let down so she doesn't get overwhelmed, choke and pull off. I'm not at all pleased about the thrush, though thankfully we've a very mild case. You can't even tell that I have it, but of course we're going to treat me too so we don't pass it back and forth.
Thrush won't ever get better on its own, right? I absolutely HAVE to do something about it? I don't mind, really, I just wonder if since it's such a mild case, whether I really need to go through all the freaking hassle of coating her mouth with gentian violet and staining all my bras purple and stuff.
I'm reading an utterly awful novel on my writers group. The idea is okay, I think, though it's hard to tell because she's writing it really weirdly. And using TONS of passive voice and disjointed, flat, explanatory sentences. Eih.
Baby crying. Silly of me to put her down for three minutes, wasn't it?
