No presents ('cept between J and I), minimal family, and lots of relaxation.
Must do every year.
Not without drama tho - my cousin is an asshat. Mom left me a long voicemail about how much she loves me & my bro, and how we're awesome kids. My cousin is a frikkin' lawyer, and he bitches about going halfsies with my mom on a Kindle for my aunt. Lordy, in the face of that, we're gorram saints. His wife makes even more money than he does - these are not poor people, and Kindles are now positively *cheap*. I want to fly out there and punch him in his face. Right in his face. And then a left in his face. Maybe a knee to the nuts. Grr.
Anyway.
I like this whole no-presents thing. We just hung out at Pepitos on Yule, had some food, talked weirdness, totally embarrassed the nephew (it's our job, y'know), and had a great time. Mom did her usual nonchalant springing of medical news on us*, and we (adults) all thought it was hilarious while the young'uns were boggled.
I also discovered I just don't have lisanthia hands. J has a nice big knot in his back, and in the course of trying to work it out, I've now messed up my muscles. It hurts to write. -_-
Up to level 83 on Mok and Yakul, woo. Vashj'ir is a crazy fun area, and SO PRETTY. We're at Uldum now, and IT IS ALSO PRETTY OMG.
