Short Stories in Writer's Craft

Jan 12, 2007 13:27

The first time I handed in my short story, I was so much in doubt I handed it in when I wasn't 100% satisified with it. When it was returned to me, a ninety-five was scribbled on the corner. Now, after a much overdue conference, Ms. Ratchford handed my recent work back to me. With a face so unreadable, at least for me, she said, "...you are a gifted writer." I mumbled a simple 'thank you', unsure how I'm suppose to react, and went to my next class. Her words reverberating in my mind still.
