Once again, I'm sucked in. I've had at least 2 glasses of wine and i can't type well, but I'm going to keep reading. This was incredible. It never made sense for Jake to answer the phone anyways. Thanks for writing, friend!! :)

You're right. I never understood why he answered it, except that he was hoping to keep HER from being distracted. Still, it was pretty presumptuous of him! It wasn't HIS house! Lol!
