Thoughts from the west.

I would like to start with a disclaimer. If anyone that reads this becomes offended... I'm both sorry for upsetting you and just plain sorry for you. Because one of the points of writing is to open up that part of you that only you understand (or in some cases hope to understand). By posting it, we Sons of Light hope maybe our brothers and ( Read more... )

I'm deeply offended, and you'll be hearing from my lawyer... ;)

For the record, the statements that started this whole situation were viewed as a viscious attack with no base in reason. It had the same effect as if your brother calls you out of the blue to call you "a jerk--a real knee biter."

The vital piece is to understand what we thought, not what was. It seemed like an attack on SI, but it turned out not to be the case. Should I have kept my mouth shut and lived with the wrong idea?

In my mind, it has been resolved, and that is that.

Dude. I'm kinda sad that all you did was talk about a post completely unrelated to this one. There's a lot more to this post than that whole thing.

What do you think about what he said? Because he said some pretty cool shit!

Don't get me wrong! That's not a "bad" thing, since when walking the Middle Path, there is no right or wrong. It's a matter of balance at that point, as you said. And stories are wonderful for that ( ... )

I disagree that melodrama is only good for writing LJ posts. It is good for realizing that one is being an ass for letting some Thing get the better of oneself. But only when that realization comes is it good for that. Personally, I don't really know of anyone who has a habit of generating melodrama, though there are a few people who seem to be a bit melodramatic at times. The thing that I see about melodrama and its supposed influence over people is that those who are supposedly addicted to it, let it drive them up the wall and simply will not put it down. Most people know the story of the two monks right? One carried the woman across a river (or thru whatever obstical) then set her down. The other one was upset for days over it until the wiser monk said "I set that woman down days ago, but you've been carrying her this whole time ( ... )
