I wrote this sometime in February last year...
It's getting late. Soon, we will be celebrating a new year. Well, everyone but me, that is. I'm lying in bed, watching American Pie II. I can not hear it though; the radio is too loud and I do not feel like getting up to turn it down. The room is dark except for the soft light of the streetlights cast through the window, and the neon sign that spells out "Alessandro the Great" on the far wall. I have a very bad headache and the pain in my back is unbearable. I think I pulled something while I was cleaning my carpet the other day. Oh well, at least it is clean, which is more than I can say for the desk. It is littered with all sorts papers and used cartons of Pork Fried Rice. That is pretty much all I eat. That, and General Tsao Chicken. I get it from the Chinese place across the street. There is a slight breeze coming through my window and I can smell all the food they cook in the kitchen. It smells delicious! It is making me hungry. I crave Chinese and an ice cold, refreshing Pepsi. That would be nice. I suppose I could order some, but I do not really have the money. I guess I'll just reheat the leftovers in the fridge. And then, as my room fills with the bright multi-colored light of a thousand fireworks exploding in the clear evening sky, I will drift off to sleep.
I think it's pretty good.
Anyhow, so right now, I'm in Seoul Plaza in Annandale, Virginia. There is this little suburban office building with a 24 hr internet cafe that charges $2 an hour! It's all cool and hidden away. You would never know it was here. The new pseudonym for Annandale is, apparently, Asiandale. I can believe it. I just had an AMAZING Beef Yakusobi at some Korean/Japanese place near-ish to Dunn Loring-Merrifield. You pay for the huge plate of food, but they give about 7 plates of extras like Miso Soup, Kimchi, Seaweed Salad, Sprouts, and whatnot. So...delicious. I'm having a wonderfully irresponcible time!
Yea...friends with friends with cars!
