my weekend
great, all i need is another debate filled weekend...
so we went to east grand rapids for our tournament. nick is suprisingly good at debate, but as the day progresses i find that he just never shuts up. we work pretty well together because he can pull stuff out of his but and i just tell him what to do. i figured out that you have to have amazing mental endurance to be able to do well at these tournaments. on saturday, we ended up breaking to octo's, then quarters, then semi's. by that time, i was in a state of mental defeat. i could probably spend hours talking about what happened during finals but i can pretty much sum it up like this
brother rice (however you spell that) = crappiest team ever and mean too, with stupid matching ties
nick = lets try to be mean to counter their meaness instead of being smart and cold dropping extra T
judges = crappy, loud, and stupid
celine = lets just call their cp conditional (bad move me)
i bet you can guess what happened... we lost
on nick's mistake, but i guess i was being to hard on him because it was my fault too.
oh well
in the end we came in 2nd out of 44 teams, so i guess it was ok.
last night after i got home, i felt really bad for being mad at him. the ride back home was the most uncomfortable sleep i had ever had in my life, right emily? i kept shoving the laptop onto her, so she had no room. my apologies. overall it was super duper stressful and the only thing i ate all weekend was half of mrs. bushey's chili (hmm indigestion) and tom's pepperoni's.

oh by the way, the oscar meyer wiener mobile is at the holiday inn in midland. i have to go get a picture before it's gone.
