John Howard and his Gestapo government of lies and misinformation has been defeated by the Australian Labour Party in a massive landslide. It wasn't just an embarrassing defeat for his party, the country put the sword to the man that manipulated a nation by voting him out of his seat which effectively ends his political career

Howard never kept a promise in his life.

I don't care if the new government doesn't keep their promises, if they don't then I wont for them. I simply refuse to vote in a chronic liar and a mass murderer.

Workplace agreements? This is something I hate about politics and our system where we force people to vote. People only care about what is in it for them, they have no idea about economics or politics so they only care about "what is in it for me" and that is the wrong reasons to vote for or against the government.

It is all about our nation and our relationship with the countries around us. It is about how we treat others, it is about how we want others to treat us.

We are one of the richest countries in the world, have one of the strongest economies in the world yet we do less than most others to help those around us. What is the point of being rich when there are more than a billion people who are poor and don't know where their next meal is going to come from?

What is the point of being rich when we are poisoning the environment, you want to have kids in the future? You want them to grow up and inherit the shit we are going to leave them? If not yourself think about your other family members who have kids.

Howard was never going to take responsibility for the environment, per capita we are the worst offender of green house gas emissions.

We have been lead by con artist that dismissed our own intelligence agency and took this country to war for the wrong reasons. We should have gone to war a decade ago but that doesn't make what he did right and he has never been held accountable for his actions.

He has lied continuously, sabotaged our referendum for independence just because he is royalist. He is a manipulative bastard and I am glad we are rid of that fucker.

We did not vote for Rudd, we got rid of Howard. Rudd now has to earn his position, but I rather someone be given the opportunity to be a good leader than have the same old shrivelled bastard continue to fuck us around.

I still see lots of flaws in your argument even though to a point we agree, you still see hope in the newly elected party where i don’t and feel that IF Rudd (or any one for that matter) was in power back 10 years ago everything that has happened still would of...you just would of been hating another person for the things that have happened...
