I have a ton a photo posts that I haven't gotten around to resizing/posting from the past 6 months (including all the pictures from summer europe travels) because just how busy/crazy last semester was. Next semester should be much more laid back (and my last one, undergraduate-wise anyways!) Anyways, I hope to finally get around to finally doing a bunch of these posts. Here's this short one for now- although most of you have probably seen the finished product.
So there was this old, faded checkerboard pattern on the floor of part of our basement. Adam and I decided to take it upon ourselves to spruce it up and give it the respect a checkerboard floor deserves.

It was about this moment we realize - "aw shit."
Mark asks "So how did you guys get paint under the tape border that's going to be around everything"
You see, we forgot to factor in the gap border in between all the squares when we remove the tape. This tiny miscalculation resulted in a few extra coats of paint (read: 16 more separate painting/drying sessions. One for each side of the two colors = 8 at two separate coats a piece.)
