So, yesterday was the long-awaited trial for the weirdo guy who would not leave my apartment.
Success!
He lost, obviously, and has to hand over the keys today. I could hear him upstairs at 4:30am, so I hope he was packing in the dark. Did I mention that he tried to switch the electric and gas bill back to our landlords so he wouldn't owe money since it wouldn't be in his name anymore? Well, that plan backfired -- my landlords turned off his electricity when they found out. He's been without it for at least a week. Cue evil laugh.
Hopefully, tonight we will be able to check it out and see if anything needs to be repaired. Then the landlords will clean, and maybe by Friday or early next week, we will be painting and moving in! Finally! I will miss our temporary 2-bedroom, but being on the first floor has made me uncomfortable, anyway. Also, someone stole my plant off the porch. Alas. It wasn't even a cool plant.
