Underworld: Evolution wasn't screened for critics. Uh-oh.
Movie Quote Whores of 2005. Top Whore: A "critic" named Earl Dittman who submitted ten (10) separate drooling quotes to the makers of Robots for use in their ads. They're not even entirely sure he actually saw the movie. Bonus: Roger Ebert uses the word "ho."

I'm having woe, I ordered your book from TheBookCellar.com back in the middle of November and I haven't received it yet. And written them four emails. Which have gotten no replies to. And I know they've charged me for it. And when I went to their website, it says I have no order history, then when I search for your book it doesn't come up with anything. Methinks I've been ripped off. If I don't hear anything in the next few weeks, I'm just going to get it from Amazon.co.uk. (Any word on US distribution, or is that still up in the air? You probably get this question lots of times a day, sorry.)

I have no idea if they'd care, considering that I haven't heard from them since they sent me an email telling me that my order had been "shipped" and then ignored my emails for a month and a half. But hopefully they'll listen to you. They haven't even been mean emails either, they basically say "Can you tell me what the status of my order is or how long it will take to get here? Or if something happened to it?" and I've got nothing back from them. And thanks, maybe that'll get me a response from them. (hopefully not their goons hunting me down or anything *hides*)

I do like playing the game of "judge the critic" during film ads, looking for the two-point font telling you that the critic spouting superlatives about the new Queen Latifah movie is actually a window-washer for an NBC radio affiliate in Knapsack, Utah....
I do miss Paul Tatara's CNN reviews; he was even-handed and so vitriolic when he wanted to be, but he had a linguistic felicity even the Eberts of the world can't quite touch. More snark than TWOP and more insight. Too bad "Black Hawk Down" apparently broke him. He's worth reading his old reviews for.
