Summery Casual Sweet Lolita
Hello everyone! This is my first time posting to daily_lolita since 2011. Where did the time go?
Lately I've been wishing for a livejournal revival, as I'm a rather nostalgic soul.
It makes me happy to see people still posting here so I am joining in, too!
I would describe my style as being very casual and sweet. I wear lolita pretty much whenever I leave the house, which is probably why the majority of my outfits end up being so simple, especially when it's hot outside. I only seem to fancy it up for big events. I really love old school lolita and I can see my style slowly starting to shift more in that direction.
Anyway, onto the photos!
In July, I took a weekend break to Paris! The weather was pretty painful (35-40°C...) but I was determined to wear lolita for the whole trip.
I opted for a blouse with open sleeves in an attempt to circulate some air flow to my body. The sleeves are a bit severe for sweet lolita but when it's hot you stop caring!

Later on in the month, I went out for afternoon tea with my friends. We went to a floating tea room on the Thames, which was not only very unique but affordably priced. Result!

On this day, I headed out to the post office to send off a purchase from my online shop. I feel as though this dress is dying to be paired with rocking horse shoes so I think I might try to get my hands on some. The weather was really pleasant for me-- soft sunshine and warm with a breeze.

Yesterday, I went to a lolita meetup which involved a picnic and a lot of pinata destruction. I am posing with its ever cheerful remains. Shame I forgot to remove the backup cardi for the photo as it's cramping my style, though keeping me warm from the sudden bitter chill.
