So, the time has come again for me to post here.
I've recently been punished by the universe by means of a hefty flu, so I'm spending the weekend yelling at Star Trek characters on TV, derivating polynomials with natural logarithms and trying to poison people with saffron. None of it is going very well.
But at least I got to spend the evening of my last healthy day at a Nobel Prize-themed party at my school. So of course I took the chance to wear a lolita outfit to it:
Look, it's my favorite pair of lightning-bolt pumps!
Dress, gloves: Bodyline
Clock headdress: made by me
Blazer: Sinéquanone
Awesome shoes: Attitude
Rest: Taobao and places like that
Let's have a closeup! My hair was really neat that day, I think. Really neat.
I told the party organizers that in 30 years or so, when I win the real Nobel Prize of Physics, I'll mention this party in my speech. Maybe the outfit too? It does have clocks, and clocks are a symbol of time, and time is something physicists often study...
But a little bit closer to this year's Nobel Prize of physics is the theme of stars. So when I visited a science center to watch a movie about the expansion of the universe a few weeks earlier, I chose a star-strewn dress:
I was a bit tired here. But happy! As shown by the goofy expression.
Dress: Bodyline
Cutsew: Dear Celine
Mini crown: made by me
Boots (those goddamn things again. I need to get new loliable boots/shoes): thrifted
Rest: chain stores
Aaand then there was Bodyline's November shipping campaign. I took advantage of it and bought a lovley plaid dress that I believe fits my style perfectly (I think I'm going to sew bustle channels into it):
Woo, tired. It's so dark when I'm get home from school that I can't take photos outdoors anymore.
In retrospect, that sock-layering was a terrible idea.
But I think my hair got such a lovely fluffiness!
That's right, pose. Pose like your life depends on it!
Tip for others who like to wear their attachable dress bows in their hair: Clip the edges to your hair with hairpins. Makes it look less floppy and more like it's supposed to be there.
Dress, socks, bow: Bodyline
Cardigan: Jane Norman
Necklace: Etsy
That's it, folks :)
While I'm at it, does anyone want to form an opinion on whether or not I should cut a fringe into my hair?
I kind of want one, with small streaks of hair at the sides, to frame the face. But would it work with my rather heart-shaped face, and with my glasses?
