Turn of Events

First, the bad news - I ended up stopping all work on the Snowflake Eyelet blanket. Am unsure if I will continue with it, or frog the whole thing. I got about 3/4 of the way done when I actually stopped and measured the thing. It's so big that I don't know how well it would work in being a baby blanket.

Really I should have stopped much sooner than when I did, but I've never been that type of knitter. I always tend to just keep going, and only realize things like this when it's too late. All in, all out I guess. Yet because I'm that type of knitter, I can't say that I'm very sad about this project. It's just the way it is, really.

Which leads me to the good news - have started work on a new project. A special project. A secret project. This is something I've been wanting to make for about a year now, when the first stirrings of an idea started to form.

I'm about 1/8 of the way done with it. Have already had to pull out some of it due to errors, part of the joy from making something like this. I can't say that much about it, only because I'm not entirely sure how things will turn out. What I can tell you is that it's a baby blanket. What I can also tell you is that I'm mixing and matching various patterns, along with some of my own thinking, to make it.

I'll post more information and perhaps a picture or two as soon as I can. In the meantime, as always...

Happy Knitting!
