Wish I had a few pictures to include here, but it really feels like there's no time for such things. It's coming down to the wire; just four more days (not even) before the Closing Ceremonies. Four more days of testing the limits and attempting to defy the odds which right now seem stacked against me.
Progress report; here on day three of work, the blanket stands at about 26 inches wide. My thinking is to go about to 40 inches. Perhaps longer. I really don't know. How big is a baby blanket supposed to be, anyway?
I will say though that thus far the Alpaca Baby Shaw pattern is looking lovely in the blush heather Wool Ease yarn. Am using size 9 needles, one size larger than recommended for this yarn, which makes for a nice texture to the fabric. The pattern itself is fairly mindless once you get used to the lace pattern involved which is great for evening knitting time when I've been wrapped up in Olympics watching.
Pictures to come next time. Till then am hoping I don't end up like poor Kevin in my icon appears. :P
