The film has been developed!

I promised pictures in my next post, and I'm writing a new post, so I'd better deliver, right? All except the socks are projects from the gift knit list.

My first pair of socks!

What: Two-Needle Tube Socks
Yarn: Wool Ease in red heather
Modifications/Notes: I decided to work these on dpns rather than mess with all the seaming. Gave me great practice in my dpn skills, too. There is only one problem; I have now worn hand-made socks, and am in love with them. Uh oh.

Another look.

My first cable project!

What: Irish Hiking Scarf
Yarn: Red Heart Super Saver
Modifications/Notes: I love cables! Jumping onto the bandwagon (have heard this is the traditional 'beginner's cabled project') decided to make this scarf for a friend. I was a bit hesitant of the color at first, yet I enjoyed how it looks. More importantly, the friend loves it.

What: Toddler Tank Dress from Speed Knitting
Yarn: Rowan Cotton Rope
Modifications/Notes: Big thanks to the mom, who worked the crochet for me. Isn't it cute? Can't wait to see it on the recipiant. :D

What: Lacecap from Knitty
Yarn: TLC Baby in lilac
Modifications/Notes: Finally, after the disasterous Piggle adventure, some success in lacework hat making. My poor Cabbage Patch doll didn't quite have the right sized head, but she still looks rather cute in it. Oh, and I do plan to make again someday.

Another look. I'm such a great photographer. :P

What: Fetching from Knitty
Yarn: Berocco Alpaca
Modifications/Notes: Yep, jumped on the bandwagon and knit some of these. I really like them, and being made in alpacca, they will be very warm indeed. Just wish the picture had been a bit better.

What: Lacework Poncho from Speed Knitting
Yarn: Wool Ease Thick-n-Quick
Modifications/Notes: My guage wasn't perfect, so had to adjust the amount of stitches. This was a fairly quick knit and I enjoyed it greatly. Oh, and check out that seaming. Hehe. As someone who almost fears seaming things, it seemed to turn out well.

Pattern: Manitou Passage Scarf
Yarn: Wool Ease in blue heather
Modifications/Notes: A quick knit, despite being a yarn-eater. It took about 3 skeins to make. I love how it's reversable, and the way the fabric looks and feels.

Stitch detail.

There you have it. There are a few more, yet I'm tired so will wait till morning to post those. Hope you enjoyed.
