It's official; Piggle and I are done. I don't know where my malfunction is, but I could not for the life of me get the crown shaping right. So this is the end.
After an internet search, I've found a new lacework cap to hopefully make for my friend's birthday. I'll have to work out the gauge/sizing and all, but I think I can make it. The instructions seem much clearer, and it's worked in worsted weight rather than fingering. Yay for giving my fingers and wrists a break! I'll need to hurry; the days are going by much faster than I thought.
I'm wondering though, should I do the picot edging or go with ribbing? What do you all think?
As for Piggle, I don't know. I do love the lace pattern. Perhaps once things settle, I'll try it again. Or, maybe I'll work out my own shaping portion. In other words, despite what I said above, this may not be the end. We'll see.
On the good news front, have now finished the tank dress. My mom helped me out by working the crochet edge. With less than four inches to go, am also nearly done with the first part of the open lacework poncho.
Progress is sweet.
