Quidditch Season to Begin This Weekend.

Can you smell it?
Hopes.
Dreams.
Desperation.
Yes, the tale-tell signs that Quidditch season is starting up at Hogwarts again.
This weekend is the first game. Gryffindor against Hufflepuff. Many favor Gryffindor to win as it is said they have assembled the strongest team in years. However, there is a wild card. A factor that could affect the whole season for Gryffindor.
Kieran Wood.
Miss. Wood, chaser and 7th year student has had a pretty, terrible year. Recently she's been mired with petty, personal dramas that some worried would affect her game. Especially taking into consideration the tension between herself and Gryffindor beater, Hugo Weasley. But now, true tragedy has befallen Miss. Wood and some think the entire Gryffindor house team will suffer.
Miss. Wood's mother, Katie Bell-Wood, was a victim of the unfortunate massacre at St. Mungo's. Mrs. Bell-Wood, a healer at St. Mungo's was attacked by werewolves and though she is awake and on the mend she is still grievously injured and has quite a recovery ahead of her. There have even been whispers that Mrs. Bell-Wood, wife of former famous professional Quidditch player Oliver Wood, was bitten and is now afflicted by Lycanthropy.
Will Kieran return in time for the first game? Will she return at all? And if she does will the weight of her own petty dramas and the more heartbreaking situation with her mother affect her once stellar game? Miss. Wood has aspirations of being a professional Quidditch player and this year scouts for the pros will be watching her. Has this terrible situation damaged her chances of achieving her dreams? Time will tell.
There is also question of the Hufflepuff seeker, Kat Krum, the daughter of another famous Quidditch player Viktor Krum. Her brother, Dimitri Krum, also a St. Mungo's healer is in a distressingly similar situation to that of Mrs. Bell-Wood. Though, Miss. Krum is an immensely talented seeker most don't think her presence will help Hufflepuff at all.
Good luck to both Gryffindor and Hufflepuff. May the best team win
