Title: muted dialogue Pairing: youngjae/zelo Rating: PG-13 Genre: slice of life Length: ~14,000 words Summary: they're in love but they aren't friends, and maybe that's the problem.
I think the most intriguing thing about how you portray their relationship is how unspoken everything is (now this is both a cause of extreme flailing and adoration as much as it is a cause of frustration for me but more on that later). I really like how you peel the layers of their relationship in this story. From the beginning you can sort of feel an underlying tension between those two since, hello, kid practically ran away from home for no reason and neither seems to want to push for a conversation. Doesn't help that they are both so awkward to each other. Which is why am so bloody happy when Youngjae and Junhong had their first major fight because FINALLY they are not ignoring the elephant in the room. Junhong bb you're too young for all these drama ; - ; But perhaps the detached and non-verbal communication is what makes their interaction is incredibly sweet without being too overbearing. And I love how everything ties up together in the end, even the mundane stuffs. Great flow :)
And shout out to Daehyun for being an awesome annoying friend
