WHOA there, this is the same artist, right? Right? xD
It's amazing how much your style has changed and developed. (There is nothing like this fandom to make a person LIKE beat-up/hypnotized 40-something-year-olds.) And ffffff, I am in love with the background. Dark and grimy-looking; I want to put it up on my wall. x3
And thank you! I can't take credit for the background, though, it's just some image of a New York City sidewalk, blown up, filtered, altered, painted over, etc etc etc. Maybe in three months I'll be confident to draw my own cityscape. ...yeah.
holy--WHOA. You should really be proud of yourself, and keep going! You've been doing what every good artist should by critically assessing your work and then doing what you can to improve on it, and the results...DAMN. The new one is sooo our boys; the beat to hell, worn-out, middle aged heroes we all love. I'm impressed with both of the guys, but Dan in particular. I think Dan is tougher because he's not as severe a Walter, so its harder to get his subtlety, but you've done really well. I love it! <3
Wow, that means so much to me. <3 I've definitely still got a lot to work on, and I hope that in a few months I'll be able to 1) draw a more organic picture and 2) be more comfortable with anatomy to the point that I can draw them doing something more dynamic.
I'm proud of how far I've come along in getting their faces (more) right, but I have to say that looking at your Dan and Ror (your Ror especially) really helped me to get a grasp of the planes and depths of his face. :3 And YOUR COLORING, I just... agree. Something about your color choices just strike me as correct; they fit the tone of the WM/DanRor universe/dynamic so well. It's really an inspiration, and I hope that next time I'll be able to do better with my own colors. :3
Thank you! <3 <3 You have no idea how stoked I am to hear you say that. The funny thing is, I felt a lot bolder with my shadows in the previous picture because it was my first time drawing something that I felt needed more depth; on my second attempt, filling in the dark spaces felt so much more natural, I definitely didn't need to labor over it as much.
TBH, looking at your depictions of Ror really helped me to understand his facial structure better, so thank you for that :D (dem jaws!). It's funny; looking at this picture I can see where I've applied what I've learned from watching all the artists in this fandom, and it feels very mashup-y. I hope that next time I'll be confident enough to let my own "style" come through.
