[Birthday event 2011] Info on submissions
Phew. I'm slipping out of my busy life for a short while with this info post all about answering your queries as to what and how to post etc.
Those still interested, please leave your name behind at this post so we can all get a headcount of who's in. Thank you~ As you can see, 3 categories in the end are opened, EXCEPT ICON-MAKING. Unless I get 3 people, I won't be able to open it. ^^;;

- Check over spelling, and grammar.
- Read for flow of dialogue, linkage with one paragraph to another, and to the very end.
- Include with your post the title (as shown in the screenshot above under the subject area), rating, genre, summary and any warnings (like swearing, nudity, super fluffy etc).
- Repetition of words - use synonyms~
- Anything longer than 10,000 words will not be accepted!
- Multi-chaptered submissions are not advisable. (One fic posted into many parts does not count as "multi-chaptered".)
- Ch@spk coz u tink it 1337.
- Plagiarism. Anyone found out doing this will be banned from the comm (and from Zodiac Translations too, wahaha).
- Anything as short as a drabble, 100 words also works. Fulfilling the theme is the ultimate point.
- Any pairing works - even a general fic with no romance or indication of BL works.
- ...Couldn't have stressed this more - the main point is to fulfill the theme! :)
COMIC-STRIP

- Check for dialogue flow! (If you want to include it.)
- Make sure drawings are consistent - Yoshida should not look like himself in one panel, and then like Naruto in the next.
- Include with your post the title (as shown in the screenshot above under the subject area), rating, genre, summary (if needed) and any warnings (like swearing, nudity, super fluffy etc).
- Precise and concise - you want it just nice with enough development, taking your audience by surprise!
- Plagiarism. Anything like this, banned from this comm (and also Zodiac Translations, maybe).
- Ch@tsp33k! Even if it's a comic-strip, nope, not acceptable.
- Not necessary to color your comic-strip, but if you want to, sure!
- No restrictions on how many pages. You can make it as many as 6 pages with very few panels and words, or 3 pages with quite a few panels and quite a bit of words.
- No restrictions on the existence of dialogue either. If you think pictures are more than enough to convey, go ahead.
- Any pairing works, or just a general short storyline also works.
- ...Again, fulfilling the theme is the main point.
DOs
- Fulfill the main point, the aim - to make sure you catch your audience by surprise.
- Edit away some black-ish dots etc in case you edited dialogues over and over again.
- Make sure presentation is nice - nicely sized images that are all the same, and clean ones are going to make it look awesome.
- Include the title (as shown in the screenshot above under the subject area), rating, genre, page (eg, vol 3 ch 4, pg 5 - 10) and any warnings (like swearing, nudity, super fluffy etc).
- Adding non-existent thought/speech bubbles? Fat hope. Not going to work - they will be checked!
- Altering the original drawing is not okay!
- YOU PICK YOUR OWN SCENE TO TAKE THE AUDIENCE BY SURPRISE. (I got lazy to pick for you, yes...)
- No restriction as to how many pages you can pick - but not more than 10 pages.
- You can add in/change SFX if necessary to fit your flow of dialogue.
- Polls will be created right after submissions are closed. Voting will be open for 1 week, 1 poll for each category of submission.
