It was very...awkward. There's this girl in my English class, Amano Rikki. We talk a little, and we like to tease each other lots. It was odd, but I wasn't expecting it. She had a gift for me and it was...really interesting but good. I hadn't realized what an impact we've had on each other. But she was looking for me all Tuesday. Except, being sick had me incapacitated in bed, so I obviously missed her. And on Wednesday, I saw her only once.
It was odd, on my way home, I got a call from her and she wanted me to get back to school. I had left something there. It was late too, after working on that school project after school hours in the computer lab. And when I arrived, she had...a cute table all set up in one of the classrooms. There was a red table cloth, a card and a couple of ice cream sundaes. It was really sweet of her to do that.
She works at her mom's ice cream shop, so she had the supplies ready but it was still cool of her to go to the effort. Half of the sundae was chocolate, the other half was strawberry and it was layered with caramel.
Honestly, I've never thought of her as more than a friend and I never knew she thought of me otherwise. It felt...a little awkward till she broke out the playing cards and we played card games for over an hour.
I had a lot of fun though.
