hey girl trust me, its nothing about red or not red neck we did consider it, but there are a lot of things against it, actually for one, here, a lot of those places make you pay chair & table rental fees if they have it at all, and if they don't you ahve to find another company & possibly even pick-up/deliver yourself plus, there's still linens & placesettings to rent and catering his family is out of town, so they can't help and my family would boil down to my mom & possibly my 80+ frail grandmother and my mom is already wearing herself to the bone running around caring for gram & my handicapped aunt but we did consider such a move esp when i wanted a halloween themed wedding (totally overridden by ma famillia) and our back-up plan persists in being my parent's backyard but its very limited in shade-space has no rain contingency and would mean chair, table, linen, placesetting rental & a caterer its jsut not as feasible down here as you'd think its the city, so everything costs an arm and a leg and even jsut begin to say wedd--- and the price jumps to occasionally double hence the overriding desire for SIMPLE but it was a good suggestion, and please don't think we didn't already consider it :) but regardless, hope you & da boy are well :)

another thing to look into might be a hotel that has a banquet room...if they could possibly be getting bookings for out of town guests then there may be a discount as well, I know a lot of people who have gotten something like that...I could think of a million places up here but I don't know the Pitt area that well, you know? ~heidi
