i think i had a very mild case of what's been going around town. still mucus-y, but i can breathe with relative ease and i'm back at work (i did end-up taking wednesday off).
it was a quiet weekend, all things considered. luke didn't end-up coming to thanksgiving-- he had to work. mom was upset about that, but she tried not to show it. so she, dad and i ended up eating a turkey breast, pumpkin pie, apple pie, carrots and parsnips, mashed yams, green beans, stuffing, gravy and homemade cranberry sauce all ourselves. well, not entirely-- i brought some left-overs back for josh, since he had chineese food with his sister and brother-in-law for thanksgiving instead of turkey.
thursday dad and i walked sable, but friday i didn't feel up to it. i didn't do much of anything friday except being sick-- it was the turning point day, i think. saturday i was feeling better, and josh and i went to a party that night that some of his friends were throwing. it was a lot of fun-- they were nice people. hah hah-- at one point, someone walked up behind my seat and put his hand on my head, so i thought it was josh and reached over and patted his knee before i realized it was ray. then yesterday josh and i went to see "finding neverland" with mikeiu and karl and afterwards went to their place for apple pie. it was a nice weeekend-- quiet, which is what i think i needed.
currently i'm sitting here and getting distracted thinking of various and assorted work-inappropriate things ('cause really, what is work-appropriate other than work?) in my empty office and try not to fall asleep until after 5 when i can go home. the only other news is that applying to schools is overwhelming, but i'm trying to get it done. i'm trying.
i need caffeine...
