ok, one day late
it could be much, much worse.
so saturday was the party. only 11 people ended up showing up, tho luke did buzz by early to see the people who hadn't arrived yet. oops.
laura lew arrived friday night, pretty late, really. we sat and talked for a few minutes, tho we had talked quite a lot a day or two before. we ended up getting a bit of a later start than we had anticipated, but it still wasn't too bad for us. stopped by the waterfront and got presents for anna and duch, wilkinsburgh for coffee (for mom) and donuts, and then the irwin giant eagle for last minute everything else. we made the fruit salad and helped mom around the house for a few hours, but there was some down time so lewlew took a nap and i went on a beer run. oh yeah, we're exciting. mom and i even did the butt dance, which lewlew jsut laughed at.
i can't remember the order in which people arrived by and large, but anna and duch came together, and reen, nate and ben, and liz, and manda. last were ray and josh, since they managed to get lost. they claimed they never saw the golf course, but i think they were jsut covering their butts for getting lost. ;P
all in all, i think everyone had a decent time. i know i did-- it was so great to be surrounded by people i could relax around, and for them to get to meet each other. i think josh might have been a bit overwhelmed (i mean, most people did take their turns interrogating him, and ben was a bit hostile, i learned later) but i was really glad that everyone got along. we had tons of food and alcohol, but i think there may ahve been only one or two of us who really drank much at all. i got a bit toasty, but not drunk by any stretch-- jsut relaxed enough that i could fall asleep on the floor when da guys left. anna, duch, lewlew and liz ended up staying over.
